Logo mark and typography created for the Channel 4 project ‘Genius’. The production aimed to create an intersection between the disciplines of art and science. The resulting collaborations formed the project. A logo was created in reference to industrial and technological companies of the 1950s and 60s, a time when the merging of these areas may have been seen as hopeful and futuristic. The logo consists of two separate elements, art and science, joining to create the third composite element ‘Genius’. The typographic equation explains this idea more explicitly.
